Old Testament Verse

Why, O Lord, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
Psalm 10:1

New Testament Verse

Jesus was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke him up and said to him, "Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?"
Mark 4:38

Prayer

Heavenly Father, sometimes I feel alone, frightened, and abandoned. However, the promises within your word assure me that you will never leave me. My heart is filled with gratitude that you respond to my cries for help. You take my hand and walk me through the storms of life. Help me be a calming presence to someone today. Amen.
