In what ways have you been involved in working for justice for people who cannot help themselves? 3. When Jesus calls us the salt of the earth and the light of the world, how does that calling lead us to act on behalf of the poor and the downtrodden? Prayer

Lord, your work to defend and bring justice is what I need. My disobedience collides with your perfect plan. I am sorry I miss the mark by attempting to justify myself. Send your Holy Spirit to deal with my resistant heart. Help me to stand up for the lost and rely on your power to bring redemption to the unrighteous. Amen.
