(Wildcast) God Surprises 4 Blades Of Grass With An Immortal Moment (Psalm 103:15 16,17; 1 Cor 15:53)

This LENT we are providing a daily (Monday-Saturday) journaling opportunity. Journaling Day 37 April 16 1. When have you felt or understood your mortality as a reality? Was this comforting or disturbing? 2. What experiences have given you the sense of life being brief coming to an end? How does this change the way you look at the future of your life? 3. Recite John 3: 16. Write down some sentences that give you consolation in the steadfast love of God as you think about eternal life that Jesus purchased for you instead of you perishing eternally. Read this verse inserting your name. “For God so loved_______________ (your name)that He gave His only begotten Son, that when __________believes in Him__________ will not perish but have eternal life.

Old Testament Verse

As for mortals, their days are like grass; they flourish like a flower of the field; for the wind passes over it, and it is gone. But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting.
Psalm 103:15-17

New Testament Verse

For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.
1 Corinthians 15:53 NIV

Prayer

Eternal God, thank you for clothing me with the imperishable seed of your Spirit. You are the resurrection and the life. Even though we die, we shall live forever with you. Your love covers all the iniquities of our mortal life. I praise you for your steadfastness that brings hope to this dark world. Amen.
