Jesus knows us before we know him — and he loves us. We are aware of our own brokenness. Our hearts are full of sinful desires, lust, greed, murderous intent. Although are spirits might be willing, the flesh is weak. We do not love God with our whole heart, nor do we love our neighbors as ourselves. Jesus knew this. That is why he died for us to create within us new and clean hearts through the gift of his forgiveness and the Holy Spirit. Now, not even our hearts can separate us from the love of Jesus Christ. We live in the light of his light and love, free to love others in the same way we have been loved. We are thankful for all the podcast teams and their faithful witness. It’s not easy getting these podcasts out, but it is a joyful service. We just want to say thank you to all who make the podcasts, those who participate in the discussions and those who listen and share with others. We love you all! — Jeff & Mim
Only you know the human heart.
1 Kings 8:39
When Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him, he said of him, "Here is truly an Israelite in whom there is no deceit!" Nathanael asked him, "Where did you get to know me?"
John 1:47-48
Unlike Nathaniel, Lord, I too often do not come to you. I sit under my fig tree and forget that you know me. Turn my heart from self-absorption to self-abandonment. Like leaves on the breath of God, fly me forward with faith. Then I too will live in the shade of your wisdom and love. Amen.
