(Familycast) Jesus Frees Us From The Fear Of Death (Psalm 119:114; John 6:40) (Faith)
When Christ frees us from the fear of dying, we are free. We are free to take up our cross daily and follow Jesus wherever He may lead us. In 1776 the signers of the Declaration of Independence were people like this. They knew they were branded as traitors and could be executed for treason. And many were. When they fought with Washington, they knew that many of the citizenry of the colonies were unwilling to join them for fear of recrimination by the King. Fear keeps people from freedom. Christ has to free us to fight for the causes that God has called us to. As we celebrate the memory of this day of freedom, may we pray for our brothers and sisters around the world who are still engaged in battles to free themselves from the oppression which fights against them day after day. These people are in Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan, Haiti and many other nations. Pray! May our Lord Jesus give them courage to continue the fight.
