Mim is joined today with good friends Shauna, Candice, and Todd in Park City, Utah. They discuss Shauna’s recent bout with cancer and chemotherapy, Candace’s neck surgeries, Todd’s shift to care for his autistic son, Bob, and Mim’s horse accident and broken ribs — all in the context of “learning to be still and know that I am God.” Sometimes, we choose to be still before the Lord (like Mary), and other times we are stilled against our will (like the paralytic); regardless, the Lord desires that we know him and his gracious, merciful and steadfast love for each one of us.
Be still, and know that I am God!
Psalm 46:10
And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."
Matthew 14:33
Dear God, you are worthy of our worship and praise. You are faithful and true. You keep your promises. You provide for me and protect me. I can rest in you. Thank you! Help me to trust you more each day. I lay my anxieties and worries at your feet. You are God and you are good. Amen.
