You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.

The centurion answered, "Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof; but only speak the word, and my servant will be healed."

Almighty God, you keep your word and fulfill your promises. Forgive me when I seek out the wisdom of others rather than diving into your word. May I become more disciplined in relying on you. I want your word to have ultimate authority over me. In the name of Jesus, I will speak God's words that set people free. Amen.
