Jesus Is Our Peace (Isaiah 57:19; Acts 10:36) (Peace)

Jesus is our peace. His presence gives peace to our powerless condition. Our God has this purpose for us in the Sermon on the Mount where He says, “blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” But to be that in this world, we need to let go our self-righteous Martha identity who is troubled about many things, or our Peter need to always think we need to have the right answer or even John who was always so good you could not help but love such a perfect guy. All these have to go. Then the peace of Christ can be ours when we know there is no peace without Christ alone and He will “guide our feet into the way of peace.” For a daily dose of peace, practice the prayer from Colossians that is available in the prayer journal download. Begin each day by praying it aloud. Let the peace of Christ flow into you and through you all day. Share a copy with a friend.

Isaiah 57:19

You know the message he sent to the people of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ-he is Lord of all.

Prayer

Prince of peace, come now to my heart and home. So many things in my life are unsettled with no peace in my heart. Apart from you, peace is fleeting. Come near and proclaim your word. Plant seeds of calm within me and I will share your healing presence. Equip me to sow your seeds of harmony and love. Amen.
