IRISHCAST Dealing with our enemies (Proverbs 16v7; Matthew 5v44,45)
When the ways of people please the LORD, he causes even their enemies to be at peace with them.
Proverbs 16:7
Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:44-45
God of all, forgive us and lead us to repentance for despising those who hurt us. Begin with me. Help me to look deeply at how you loved your enemies. Change me to forgive as you forgive. Let me see our common humanity, our hopes and our dreams. In your love, heal us and make us one. Amen.
