SHARECAST Rest for your soul (2 Sam 23:24; Matt 11:29)
One who rules over people justly, ruling in the fear of God, is like the light of morning, like the sun rising.
2 Samuel 23:3-4
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Matthew 11:29
God and Creator of all nations, lead me to share my burdens with Jesus. Help me to rest in his suffering love. I confess my hostile feelings toward many government leaders, both foreign and at home. Forgive me. Replace my contempt with the humble heart of my Lord especially as I bear witness to injustice. Amen.
