Discovering Our Stronghold In Jesus(Psalm 9:9;James 1:27) (Hope)

The Carpathian Mountains are a stronghold this week for our Sumy pilgrims who are seeking rest, renewal, restoration and recreation in this setting far away from the Russian front. Let us pray for them as they travel today to their camp location. Keep praying this week for the healing each person needs.

Old Testament Verse

The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.

New Testament Verse

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress.
James 1:27

Prayer

Lord, you are the safe shelter for all who suffer unjust treatment. You comfort and protect the orphaned, the widowed, the abused, and the persecuted. I shudder to think how I have oppressed others, knowingly or unknowingly. Grant me a repentant spirit and willing heart to love and care for those who are oppressed and downtrodden. Amen.
