God’s justice forgives rebels (Nehemiah 9:33; 1 John 1:9)
You have been just in all that has come upon us, for you have dealt faithfully and we have acted wickedly.
Nehemiah 9:33
If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9
Lord God, how grateful I am for the depth of your mercy toward me! Though I do not deserve it, I need it daily as I am not always faithful and pleasing in thought and action toward you or others. Restore my heart to a condition of loving obedience, that I might be your light in a dark world. Amen.
