(Theta) My Place (Genesis 2:7 & Galatians 2:20) (Humility)

Nathan, Kiera and Austin walk us through the life and death reality that St. Paul expresses in Galatians 2:20. Paul claims no life in himself. Christ is his life. Paul has died. Martin Luther once was attacked by Satan who demanded Luther to present himself to him. Luther listened to Satan and pointed to himself and said, “Luther doesn’t live here anymore…Christ lives here. If you want Luther, you will find him on that cross.” The cross is where our old person lives. Our new self is the home of God. Today’s podcast, like yesterday’s from the Minneapolis Greenhouse ministry community, confirms the truth that when Christ lives through us we are free. So how do you get free? I wonder what the Holy Spirit has planned for us tomorrow?

Old Testament Verse

The Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
Genesis 2:7

New Testament Verse

It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20

Prayer

Risen Lord, thank you for giving your Spirit to work through me as your hands and feet. Thank you for making me part of your continuing creation. Raise me up by your hand to see all you are doing in the lives of those around me. Breathe your life into me again today. Amen.
