(Irishcast) God’s Good Purpose For You (Psalm 138v8 Hebrews 5v9) (Trust)

Nebuchadnezzar on Monday and Cyrus on Tuesday. Who is the next King God will use for His purpose? It’s not in the Bible and he wasn’t a King but Gorbachev was used by God to allow the wall to come down. He didn’t put up a fight when Eastern Europeans wanted freedom from communism. But here’s what Ezra wrote about God and Cyrus. Ezra 1:1 In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing: [2] “Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.”

Prayer

Generous Lord, thank you for what you did for me on the cross. I am so grateful that you want me to obey you. Give me the faith to believe the purpose you will fulfill through me. Fill me up when I feel too empty to serve. Remind me that you are the source of my strength. Amen.
