MISSION CAST Grace in Times of Distress (Psalm 31:9; Matthew 8:25-26)
Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am in distress.
Psalm 31:9
His disciples awoke Jesus, saying, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!" But he said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then he arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
Matthew 8:25-26 NKJV
Lord, how I long to live on the safe shores of life! Then in safety I could watch the waves and mend my thoughts. But you call me to step into your vision and follow you. It's scary to fish for people, to enter their stormy lives. Help me to hear your voice in their cry for help. Amen.
