Simeon was looking forward to the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit rested on him.
Luke 2:25
Make me like Simeon, Lord. What great patience he had; what little have I. Grant me the faith to wait and to see your presence in the world around me. Sharpen my eyes to see you in the valley of shadows. Open my ears to hear your still, small voice even in the clamor of this season. Amen.
