Old Testament Verse

Woe to those who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice to the innocent.
Isaiah 5:22-23 NIV

New Testament Verse

Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Philippians 4:8

Prayer

Holy God, how easily I exclude myself from the wrongs I see in others. Help me to change direction and follow the way of Christ who chose to suffer rather than inflict suffering. Help me endure scorn and misunderstanding rather than stay silent in the face of injustice. May the purity of Christ embolden me to suffer for him. Amen.
