IRISHCAST God's Rest and Peace (Gen 2v3; Phil 4v7)
God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done.
Genesis 2:3
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7
Lord, I confess I like to be busy. Then I feel important, wanted, and needed. My credo is: if I don't do it, it won't get done! But you are the God of rest and renewal, my Creator and Redeemer. Grant me your peace. As your child of the sabbath, help me rest in your family of faithful workers. Amen.
