Jeff and Mim discuss the word “joy” and how it relates to other words like gladness, happiness, elation, or exuberance. Mim recounts a time she met Joni Eareckson Tada, who was confined to a wheelchair after a tragic accident in a diving accident. Mim also recounts Corrie TenBoom’s experience in the German Concentration Camps. We can have an everlasting joy that no one can take from us because of Jesus Christ. We belong to him and he to us. Nothing can separate us from Christ’s Love. Merry Christmas from the Mission Cast!
My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.
Psalm 84:2
Elizabeth said to Mary, "And why has this happened to me, that the mother of my Lord comes to me? For as soon as I heard the sound of your greeting, the child in my womb leaped for joy."
Luke 1:43-44
My heart sings to you, the living God. I am awed by what has happened to me. Thank you for coming to me in love. I regret things I have done and things I have left undone. In humble gratitude I accept your gifts of forgiveness and eternal life. I will joyfully share your message of love and forgiveness. Amen.
