This song is one of the theme songs in our “freedom from fear” weekends. “I Speak Jesus” is created by Integrity's Praise! What the song declares is what we know from the Bible about the name of Jesus. It is the name bestowed by God. It is the name above all names. At the name of Jesus, every knee will bow in heaven and on earth. His name has authority. All who call on the name of Jesus will be saved. Demons are subject to his name. His name has power. In His name sins are forgiven. People come to freedom over the power of their past through His name. This was not just for the early church but for now. His name breaks all demonic authority. His name brings grace to those under the curse of the law. His name is life. Speak it! JESUS! JESUS! JESUS!

00You Are God’s New Thing (Isaiah 48:6; Acts 17:32) (Repentance)
God always surprises us by choosing us to do His will. We can’t help but saying “who me?” But God loves to take people who never thought they were enough to be messengers of the good news for people who never believe they will measure up. So all of you not enough people, God chose you. God chose you specifically because you don’t think you can do it. And the truth is you can’t but God your Father in Heaven will work in you and through you. Just start looking for the people God wants you to bless.

00(Sundaycast) Giving The Living Water (Isaiah 48:21; Mark 9:41) (Stewardship)
This photo was taken in front of Mount Hermon, a huge rock of a mountain in the north of Israel. I’m there with a tour group asking the question, “why did Jesus bring the disciples to this place to ask the question, ‘who do you say that I am?’ “ The reason is that from the base of this rock mountain, the Jordan River begins. The river that gives life to Israel and Jordan below it has its source in a rock. The water flows from the rock. The confession of Peter flowed from his mouth and his heart. The confession is what gives life. You and I are the “Peters” of today. We may be rocky disciples like Peter but out of our mouths flow rivers of living waters to bless the world to which Jesus sends us. Go! The Lord has chosen you to be a blessing. You are the one bringing the waters of life today.

00(Mission Cast ) Give Us Words Of Life (Ps 119:172; James 3:10) (Trust)
Why do words matter so much? Because words carry real power. For example, God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light" (Genesis 1:3). “The universe was created by the word of God" (Hebrews 11:3). We bear the image of a Speaking God — our own words build or wound, bless or curse, echoing the speech of the Creator. Jeff and Mim discuss how the condition of the heart determines what we say. What if we spoke out of a heart well-grounded in Scripture and in the knowledge that we are loved and that nothing can separate us from God’s love in Christ Jesus? How would our choice of words be different? I dare say we would speak less, and more in loving ways that encourage and build one another up. The world would truly be different. Lord, help us to discipline our tongues and words through your word and by your grace and power. Amen.

00(Irishcast) Lord, Open My Ear (Isa 50v5 Luke 10v39) (Repentance)
Instead of the “ayes” have it, it is the ears that have it! Martin Luther said that the ear is the organ of conversion. Why? Because faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Romans 10:17 “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Luther frequently pointed to this verse. He believed people are saved when they hear the spoken gospel message. The Holy Spirit works through this means of grace. We receive the saving word of Christ through our ears. God chose the ear to save us since it requires a speaker and all we can do is listen. We just hear and the speaker is the one who does all the work. Since this experience of faith requires both a speaker and a listener, Luther made it clear that the Kingdom of God is about personal relationships. We are a community where one person gives the promise and another receives it. Today, think of someone who needs to hear the good news. Tell them Jesus died for their sins and was raised for their salvation. Preach the word of Christ to them. And let God do the rest.
