Jeff reflects upon the joy of the Lord calling us into fellowship with himself through Christ Jesus. In Christ, we participate in the new life of the kingdom by grace through faith through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are transformed and grafted into the vine and become God’s children together. The Bible is a unified, coherent testimony of God’s wisdom and grace that lead to Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. In Christ we are living stones built up as a spiritual house, a holy priesthood (1 Peter 2:5). In Christ, we build our lives, our house upon THE ROCK, so that when the storms, rains, and floods come, we will be able to stand (Matthew 7:24-27). God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). "Our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteous … in every high and stormy gale my anchor holds within the veil. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand” (Text by Edward Mote 1797-1874). Mim needs your prayers. On Jan. 11th (11:49 p.m.) her mother died and passed into the arms of Jesus. We are thankful. On Jan. 16th Mim was thrown from a horse and suffered severe blunt force trauma to her head, neck, shoulders, lower back, chest, and abdomen. She was in the Emergency Room for 24 hours with severe nausea. The entire week has been miserable for her. On Jan. 23rd, we discovered through a new x-ray that she broke ribs 5 - 9 (altogether five ribs) on her right side. She is unable to draw a full breath and is vulnerable to pneumonia. Your prayers are appreciated.
Their congregation shall be established before me.
Jeremiah 30:20
You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.
Ephesians 2:20
Lord Jesus, thank you for living in believers and working through us. Forgive your congregation for losing focus. Your church is the people, not the building. Help us to build on the foundation laid by the apostles and prophets. You, the cornerstone, provide stability through your gift of salvation. Praise and glory to you forever! Amen.
