(Familycast) Thanks Our God Gives Satisfaction (Joel 2:19; Mark 6:41 42) (Grace)

Rikka, Gorden and Sonja are working on their TRIP prayers as we reflect on the texts for today. One of the simple ways that all of us can respond to the texts for each day is to ask, “what makes me thankful to Jesus for what He is telling me in the verses today about how important I am to Him?” As you listen today, you will hear our reflections on what makes us thankful as we reflect on what Jesus says we mean to Him. This act of thanks is at the heart of our TRIP prayers. We are heading to Mount Carmel today to help our prayer writers practice writing prayers that help you to be thankful for what Jesus says to you. This act of writing will begin your relationship with Jesus as the source of living thankfully.

Old Testament Verse

In response to his people the LORD said, "I am sending you grain, wine, and oil, and you will be satisfied."
Joel 2:19

New Testament Verse

Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and blessed and broke the loaves and gave them to his disciples to set before the people, and he divided the two fish among them all. And all ate and were filled.
Mark 6:41-42

Prayer

God of abundance, you are the bread of life that satisfies my hungry soul. Thank you for revealing your concern for physical needs. You multiplied a small offering to feed a huge crowd. Fill me with your compassion to feed hungry bodies and souls. I know that you will bless and multiply the "loaves and fish" I offer. Amen.
