(Irishcast) Serving Our Neighbor With The Riches Of Christ (Psalm 140v12 James 2v15 16) (Stewardship)

We are chosen by God to bring the riches of Christ to the world. In Revelation, we are told by God that we will reign with Christ on this earth now. Chapter 5:10 declares, “and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God and they shall reign on the earth.” So how do we rule? We share what Jesus has given to us. His riches are shared through us with others. As you listen today, you will discover even more how this is true. But the other element for which we reign is over guilt and resentment. By helping people to admit to their guilty actions or their resentful feelings, we can absolve them in the name of Jesus and break the power that the devil has over them. We do this because we are royal members of the kingdom of God and priests who reign on earth now.

If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food and one of you says to them, "Go in peace; keep warm and eat your fill," and yet you do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that?
James 2:15-16

Prayer

Thank you, Lord, for caring for the needy and the poor. Forgive me for thinking I was chosen to be part of something exclusive. Redirect me to your heart that includes those who need care. Make me willing to join others who welcome the stranger and care for the needy. Unite my hands with others in expressing your love. Amen.
