The hymn “Oh take my hand dear Father” reveals the childlike trust that our Father God wants us to have. As children of God we know that our lives depend completely on the love that God has for us. So we walk each day with our hand held by the most High God. And He will never let us go. As Jesus says, “No one shall snatch you out of my hand.” What does it mean for you to take His hand again today?
I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness; I have taken you by the hand.
Isaiah 42:6
A voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!"
Matthew 17:5
Thank you, Lord, for your call makes me righteous. Open my ears to hear your voice above those voices that tell me I am never enough. I reject those negative words. Today I trust your word alone that declares, "I am pleased with you." Take my hand and lead me away from those things that take life away. Amen.
