How is contentment related with hospitality? Who or what enables us to become generous and kind to others? The love and grace of Jesus Christ is abundant and overflows into our lives and into the lives of others. There is plenty to go around. God’s love and grace is abundant and a never-ending river of life. Most of first experience God’s generosity through the lives of others. The word (and the love) of God is always incarnated in the flesh. The Holy Spirit lives in us and we are now the aroma of Christ, his word inscribed upon our hearts. Who in your sphere of influence needs to experience God’s love through you? It is someone close to you? Someone you take for granted? It is someone strange to you? Someone out of sight and out of mind? May God give you grace to conduct your affairs with justice. — Jeff & Mim
It is well with those who deal generously and lend, who conduct their affairs with justice.
Psalm 112:5
The rich are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share, thus storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life that really is life.
1 Timothy 6:18-19
Lord, help me make the right investment with my life. Let me spend my money and my time with an eye on your eternal return. You bought our worthless sins in exchange for your priceless forgiveness. With such riches, let me love with abandon. Amen.
