Moses was commanded to proclaim. Paul commanded Timothy to proclaim. But in Athens Paul also proclaimed. “So Paul, standing in the midst of the Areopagus, said: “Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious. For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription: ‘To the unknown god.’ What therefore you worship as unknown, this I PROCLAIM TO YOU. The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.” Where is your Athens? Where is God commanding you to proclaim His message today?
The Lord said to Moses, "You shall speak all that I command you."
Exodus 7:1-2
Proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke, and encourage with the utmost patience in teaching.
2 Timothy 4:2
Loving and patient teacher, when I express thanks for that of which I am grateful, I confess I weigh my words carefully, hoping they will create favorable impressions of me. Set me free to speak and listen with the love and grace of Christ. Put me aside so that through me, you may bless those I meet today. Amen.
