Listen To My Word For You (Jer 23:35; Matthew 26:75) (Repentance)
God warns His people in Jeremiah 23 to listen to His voice, His word for you. But we are tempted to obey other voices. It may be because others are doing this. It may be because we feel better obeying them. It may be because we doubt that we are worthy of the word that our Heavenly Father speaks over us. For whatever reason, God does not give up on us. God picked Peter to be the leader of His church because God knew no one could ever do something as disappointing as Peter and still be chosen by God to lead His people. The text in the photo is from Isaiah 43:18-19. God tells each of us to forget the former things. This is what Jesus tells Peter when He talks to Peter on the Sea of Galilee. This is what Jesus also says to you. Forgiveness means forget your failures. God has forgotten them. He will make streams flow out of your desert and your wilderness just like He did for Peter.
