Help me, O LORD my God! Save me according to your steadfast love.

When Peter noticed the strong wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me!" Jesus immediately reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?"
Matthew 14:30-31
Savior, like Peter I step out in confidence to do your will, only to sink in the mire of my own self-assurance. Forgive me for trying to do your will in my own power. Thank you for catching me, lifting me up, and setting me aright. Keeping my eyes on you, may I walk in your confidence today. Amen.
