(Discipleship) Our Forgetful God Who Remembers (Zechariah 1:17; John 16:22) (Hope)

Jesus promises “I will not leave you orphaned.” Our deep fear of being abandoned is overcome by Jesus who declares to us that we are His family. He will not leave us behind. In fact He is with us now. On the last day He will reappear. And we will see Him AGAIN! Just as He sees us now.

Old Testament Verse

The LORD will again comfort Zion.
Zechariah 1:17

New Testament Verse

So you have pain now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.
John 16:22

Prayer

Tender Savior, you are a God who comforts. Even when I have pain and troubles, your presence is with me, and you promise to restore my joy. Right now, impress on my heart and mind all that reminds me of your consistent care and your immeasurable love. I humble myself in gratitude and recall your blessings. Amen.
