(Awaken) God’s Love Is Impartial Toward You (Deut 2:27; James 2:9) (Grace)

Our five Awaken students are pictured with a special guest today, Lu Vitalis. Lu was at Mount Carmel for a special weekend honoring those people who support Mount Carmel. They are called “Proclaimers” since their gifts help proclaim the gospel through all of Mount Carmel’s ministries. The Awaken Project is one of those ministries that proclaims the gospel. As a five year old, Lu first came to Mount Carmel in 1938 when it first opened. Old Testament Verse

You must not be partial in judging: hear out the small and the great alike; you shall not be intimidated by anyone, for the judgment is God's.

New Testament Verse

But if you show partiality, you commit sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
James 2:9

Prayer

Loving Father, you teach me to love my neighbors and not judge them. I regret using my one mouth to judge rather than my two ears to listen to the trials of others. Reveal to me those neighbors who are partners in serving you. Give me opportunities to use my voice to confidently encourage them. Amen.
