Some went down to the sea in ships, and saw the deeds of the LORD, his wondrous works in the deep. Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wonderful works to humankind.

After we had reached safety, we then learned that the island was called Malta. The natives showed us unusual kindness. They kindled a fire and welcomed all of us around it.
Acts 28:1-2
Lord, make of my life a Malta landing. So many people are adrift in this world, looking for a safe place to land. Cruel winds and unruly passengers crowd them to the edges of life. Make me a harbor of hope or a vessel of kindness. Let your steadfast love burn brightly in my actions to welcome the weary. Amen.
