Our podcasts are 5-8 minutes in length. We create these messages using one or two brief verses from the Bible that come from a devotional book. Our purpose is to help you hear the grace of Jesus in these verses so that your life may find its grounding in Christ alone. It is this grounding in grace that makes forgivin’ livin’ your way of freedom.

Mount Carmel family camp ends its summer family and adult week long ministry today. This week has been a GUG week with Sonja and me preaching at Mount Carmel. Dr. Dan Van Voorhis has been teaching on church history with the theme of how does our understanding of church history set us free for ministry today. Dan is from the 1517.org teaching ministry. He has a daily podcast, Chruch History Almanac, which is available through 1517.org. One blessed part of his being here this week is that in 2018, I met David and Cynthia Robinson in Minneapolis when they were coming to their son’s wedding. They had been helped tremendously through the podcasts and written material produced by 1517.org. I was working for 1517.org at the time. That meeting in April of 2018 has led to the wonderful relationship we have enjoyed ever since which all of us experience with the Tuesday Irishcast. David and Cynthia will also be hosting us on our tour of Ireland and Scotland which begins on Friday, August 30. It was a gift to have their podcast playing for us with a teacher from 1517.org at Mount Carmel.

00(Carmelcast) Knives Are For Cutting
Mount Carmel staff served faithfully through August 6. This photo shows you all of them who were called to help this summer. Our older adult week is called an “elderversity.” There are 8 more learning weeks coming up this fall for the Awaken project. There are six students enrolled. In addition there are five students who will be part of this community who will live here while attending Alexandria Community College. Thanks be to God for all the ways He is working things for good here.
