Our podcasts are 5-8 minutes in length. We create these messages using one or two brief verses from the Bible that come from a devotional book. Our purpose is to help you hear the grace of Jesus in these verses so that your life may find its grounding in Christ alone. It is this grounding in grace that makes forgivin’ livin’ your way of freedom.

00(Tourcast) Reaching Women In Jail With The “Daily Texts” (Daniel 9:18; Ephesians 2:8 9)
How do we break down the walls that divide us? We walked the 400 year old wall in the city of London Derry on Thursday. This city has known a divided spirit for many years especially when Bloody Sunday happened Jan 30, 1972. But our guide, dressed in yellow in the photo, said the past few decades have been the most peaceful here in a long time. One reason! No new laws have been written. Every time there’s a law someone gets offended and creates a reaction. Our GUG t-shirt says it from Romans 6:12-14. “Don’t live under law but under grace.” More laws make you more eager to break them. When you live under grace, the walls of hostility come down and love has the chance to grow again. Let God’s grace bring your inner walls down by living as a forgiving person, under grace.

00(Theta) Needy Sheepy (Psalm 28
We are happy to announce that two of our needy sheep who needed to resolve a passport problem rejoined our community last night at dinner in Sligo. Our delight in having these friends with us again was great. Not quite like the angels in heaven who rejoice over the lost sheep coming back to the shepherd in Luke 15, since we knew that these friends were not lost forever. But the days apart were filled with prayers for working out the issues with the US Embassy in Dublin which resolved the problem in a speedy way for our needy sheep. Now each of us needs to remember that our Lord has called us to be the embassy for the all the lost sheep wandering in confusion on the earth. Let us seek daily how our Lord can use us as ambassadors to bring the lost ones back into His sheepfold, His bus!

00(Tourcast) God’s Food Gets Us Going (1 Kings 19:5,8; Matthew 6:31)
Elijah was down in the dumps. God sent angels with special food (pies or cakes) to get him back on his feet. Today’s podcast shares some thoughts on how God uses food to get us going when our flesh is weak and maybe even our spirit is weak also. These pies were part of a delicacy yesterday afternoon on our GUG tour. We had braved the wind, the rains, the windy roads, and the cliffs of Moher. A little tasty dessert was just the answer we needed. Sorry we can’t bring any home. But God knows where you can get what you need to get you going today. He is the Bread of Life. And the “pie in the sky when you die” can actually be eaten now. That’s the promise of eternal life. You get to have it today. Taste and see what your Lord has prepared for you today!

David and Cynthia are smiling for several reasons. 1. They celebrated 35 years of marriage on Monday. 2. On Monday, they also fulfilled a passion of visiting an outreach bookstore ministry in Galway that is now connected to a new mission church. They have been sending used books to help this store for over 15 years. 3. They get to proclaim the gospel of forgiveness of sins in Jesus to all of us who are listening today. You get in on it without needing to leave home!

00(Tourcast) Healing Is By God’s Grace (Ps 147:3; 1 Peter 2:24)
Grimacing under grace? The picture shows a friend on our tour who is being absolved by his friends Jim and Dianne. The kiss of peace. As you can see from the photo, it is not always easy to receive forgiveness even when it leads to healing our brokenness. But healing our hurts always means letting Christ take them into himself. Our podcast has more stories of those who received the healing of our Lord and the wonderful way that God worked it out. Just two weeks ago we had the story of a young woman who was healed of anorexia through a word from God in the “Daily Texts.” Today you will hear more messages of how God brought healing to young woman who were struggling with this terrible disease. You know people who are hurting around you from many problems. Just know that our Lord will use you to bless them by using a Bible promise as these women today were blessed by hearing the word proclaimed over them. We are praying for you.

The Book of Kells is a beautifully illustrated manuscript of the Four Gospels. Their story is told in today’s podcast as a message to the people whose commitment to the written word has been carried throughout the centuries. This message is compared to the testimonies of modern Christians in Dublin who were present yesterday at a time when the healing word of modern believers could be received and shared by those of us whose lives were changed when one of us got sick. The ancient and the present witness, both needed to bring the faith to life.

00We Have A Wonderful Counselor (Ps 33:11; Eph 1:11)
“Let the coastlands be glad” is the theme of our 14 day Ireland and Edinburgh tour. It begins today and continues through Thursday September 12. We will be making our podcasts as a part of our tour so you will be able to follow along as we carry this pilgrimage of Christ to the land which St Patrick and CS Lewis both share as spiritual homes. Our leader is Samuel Chestnutt. He has a theology of travel which we will share in the coming two weeks. But a primary element is his understanding that we are created to “explore, marvel and share” the goodness of God’s creation. Any earthly journey we take needs to have this understanding that our Lord has created us to enjoy His creation. And while we have this vision for earthly adventures, Samuel helps us understand that our Heavenly Father has created us for a new heaven and a new earth where we will spend eternity exploring, marveling and sharing the goodness of our God and the fullness of His grace. Please pray for us as we travel. We want to make the coastlands glad with the presence of Jesus.
